A good cardio workout
Bounce a bit faster or add a gentle jog and you'll feel your heart rate rise quickly. BERG suggest that around 10 minutes of rebounding can feel comparable to around 30 minutes of running, swimming or cycling — that's their claim, and how it feels for you will depend on how hard you work.
Easier on the joints than hard ground
The mat gives under you, so each landing is softer than on a footpath or a hard floor. Lots of people who find running uncomfortable enjoy bouncing for that reason.
Balance and coordination
The mat moves slightly with every bounce, so your body is constantly making small adjustments. Over time many people feel steadier. If balance is a focus, the rebounder with handle lets you practise with support.
Legs and core
Your legs, glutes and core all work to keep you upright and bouncing. Marching, twists and small squats on the mat add variety.
Mood
It's hard to bounce to a good song and stay grumpy. Plenty of people use a few minutes on the rebounder to shake off a long day at the desk.
Convenience — the big one
No commute, no membership, no waiting for the rain to stop. It's in the room, so ten minutes actually happens. The BERG 110 folds away afterwards.
